Welcome to JacTravel. We’re delighted to have you on board! Today is the start
of your new career at JacTravel. We can’t wait to tell you all about our
Company, the work you’ll be doing and for you to get to know the team you’ll
be working in.
As with the start of any journey there is lots to think about and we’re here to help
you each step of the way on your journey. So, let’s start….
What to expect on your first day
•We’ll be greeting you with open arms!
•We’ll show you around the office that you will be working in so you’ll know
where things are and, importantly, the location of the coffee machine! If you’re
working from home, then you already know where this is!
•You’ll be introduced to your line manager and, if you’re office based, to your
team
•You’ll have lunch with your line manager, some of your team or both! If you’re
working from home, this will happen when you get together with your line
manager or other team members
•We’ll tell you about what has been planned for your induction
•We’ll give you a desktop computer or a laptop and, for some of you, a work
mobile phone. These need to be kept safely stored when not in use.
•We’ll give you your logins and show you how to connect to our IT systems
•You’ll be introduced to one of the HR team who will ensure you are clear on the
terms of your contract as well as giving you other information that will be helpful
for you to know about the way we work at JacTravel.
Your induction – what you need to know
The business of JacTravel
It’s very important to us that you understand our business. So important that we
don’t believe you can do your job effectively without this. We’ve therefore put
together a series of presentations, led by senior colleagues in the business, to give
you a small insight into what each team does.
Your job now is to plan in time during the working day in your first month to view
these presentations. The details are below. Click on the title of each of these to
